Jagfest Challenge and Network Gathering announced for 2009 show

Chicago, Illinois –(1/18/2009) –On July 12th,2008,while the Jagfest portion
wasn't in full force at it's return to IL since 2005, the Jagfest challenge 
featuring Classic Gorf on the Jaguar CD made history when Gorf aracde
Champion Todd Rogers set the record for the first time for the game for Twin Galaxies
with a score of 21.860 (then Ken Williams beat it with a score of 24,270).

The Video Game Summit staff is proud to announce the return of Atari Jagfest
challenge featuring the return of Classic Gorf on the Jaguar CD plus two more
games will be added this year: Tempest 2000 and Alien Vs. Prediator(marine).
The object of these challenges is to get the high score of the day(you get
a speical prize if you beat the scores posted on twin galaxies)
(the Jagfest challenge tournaments will take place at Jaguar Tournament table)

Also we are planning the Jaguar network play 2 hours before 
the show closes in the deli for the following games Doom,Battlesphere
and Aircars. Now heres the best part,if You bring your Jaguar, any of the
three games mentioned for network play,a Television(or monitor) and a 
way to network the games(catbox,scatbox,Jaglink etc) you can get your 
Table for free just pay for your admission. to sign up for the network gathering
use the PDF form on the contact page and select" Jagfest network" and fill
in the information reguarding the network gathering and send it to me
I'll make sure your table will be set for you at the show(your welcome to bring 
other Jaguar games as well,and while the network gathering specific for Jaguar 
you are welcome to bring your Lynx and network with that as well)

The Video Game Summit, now in its sixth year, brings together classic and modern 
generation gamers from all over the country to swap stories, games and to 
compete in sanctioned tournaments and raffles. The event is open to the public 
and people of all ages with an interest in video games or computers are 
encouraged to attend.  According to the event's organizer, Dan Iacovelli, "we 
plan to have gaming consoles to play. ” 


The date of the show will be July 18th, 2009 from 11am to 6pm at The Heron Point 
Convention Center,665 West North Avenue, Lombard,IL(adjacent from the Fairfield 
Inn and Suites hotel)Admission is $3.00 per person(which includes free entry to 
raffle and your first free pop and bag and chips(Additional pop is 1.25 each and 
bag of chips .75 each).Tables is 10.00 each (This includes admission for your 
group, raffle entry and pop and bag of chips).
We will once again have free Wi-Fi access.
